According to Valmiki Ramayana which is the base and root for the ramayana in which sri valmiki maharshi says Sri Ram is older than mata Sita by 6 yrs and 243 days....proof :.(In the Aaranya kanda chapter 47 verse 11, Sita Devi addresses Ravana who was in the disguize of a tapasvi thus ""My great-resplendent husband was of twenty-five years of age at that time, and to me eighteen years are reckoned up from my birth..." So, clearly Sita was younger to Raama as per internal evidences in the original Raamaayana." Other research in modern day Sweden has shown that the ideal reproductive match is for a man to marry a woman six years his junior. The maturity level of men and women vary as well. A woman matures up earlier than a man and can better understand the social requirements and way of living for better adaptibility than a woman...She is as matured as a man 4-5 years older than her found out from DNA analysis of men and women. If the maturity level matches both of them adjust well as their mental waves match and they understand each other well. Ideally, scientifically,and practically, a man should marry a younger woman and the age gap should be at least 5 years. This makes the husband understand the wife well. And there will arise less disputes between them... because of lesser ego clashes and so little chance of divorce after marriage.
