Hiiiiiiii....Happy Ganesh Chaturthi :) :)

In Purans it was given that our
Lord Ganesha was created from   Mud  卍 & so it is life-sustaining
& sacred to use only the idols made up of mud for our  worships...

☾  The Mudgala Purana gives Eight Inner Avatars of Ganapati   ☾

Vakratunda (twisted trunk) an embodiment of the Absolute Impersonal aspect of Godhood called Brahman in the form of Ganesha. The myth relationg to it teaches that all the qualities of the mind have to be transcended for liberation.

Ekadanta (single tusked) who defeated the demon Madasura.
Ekadanta .....' Eka' - means 'one' & Danta here means ' truth ' hence Ekadanta implies ' One Supreme Truth  ' that which wields Maya. The myth relationg to it teaches the fact that evil can enter only when it is invited

卍 Mahodara ,the avatar that vanquished Mohasura, the demon of Delusion and Confusion.
This avatar is a synthesis of Ekadanta and Vakrotunda which represents the absolute. It is an embodiment of the wisdom of Brahman. The demon of this myth is " Moha " - Attachment which causes all Delusions and Confusions

Gajanana, its an avatar that defeated the demon Lobhasura (Greed or Covetousness)

Lambhodara is the Essence of Sattva. In this avatar,he defeats Krodhasura (Anger)

Vikata (Intelligence),the avatar that defeated Kamasura (Lust)

Vignaraja (Lord of Obstacles) defeated the demon Mamasura (Possessiveness). It conveys that the major roadblock to spiritual evolution is the desire to possess.

Dhumravarna , the destructive power of Brahman, overcame the demon Abhimanasura (Attachment, Pride). In the myth relationg to this avatar ,the demon married Egoism, daughter of Negligence, and they had two sons Arrogance and Mindless Happiness
:-D :-D :-D

All these demons are famously known as the Inner Enemies which one needs to get rid of, as one grows in the life spiritually

:)   A very happy and blessed Ganesh Chaturthi to

you & all your family  :)
