Oprah calls it the “disease to please” – when we really want to say no, but we say yes.
We desperately want to “be nice” but we run ourselves into the ground, physically and emotionally, by taking on too much.
She says the surprising thing about saying no, as she’s learned to do without feeling guilty, is that people generally just say OK.
