Dear ,
Both superiority complex and inferiority complex is a function of ego/lack of self-esteem. This need not be taken as something negative, as we are all learning and growing. Some lessons we have learned. Others we have yet to learn. No one is perfect and flawless, and each and every experience of life is an opportunity to lean and grow, to become a better individual. We are all unique and there is no need to compare ourselves with others. All we need to do is strive to be better that who we were yesterday.
If I observe that another person's superiority complex is bothering me, first I would look into my own levels of self-esteem. Why is it that I take the actions of others personally and experience negative emotion as a result? Instead of resisting/judging the behavior of other, I would strive to understand it, and in truly understanding it, our contempt changes to compassion. When you reach this place of strength, the dynamics of the relationship change greatly. You are now in a position to positively influence the other instead of getting bothered by it.
With Love,
Sudhir
The words of critics, egotists, pessimists have no power. They get their strengths from our own reactions.we all are responsible for our actions alone, not for the reactions of others.
as given in quotes -
- How people treat you is their karma : how you react to them is your karma
- Life is 10% what happens to u & 90% how you respond to it
- Eliminating the expression of negative emotions is the starting point of rapid personal growth - brian
- what we focus on, grows. people who put a lot of energy into focusing on what they don’t want, by talking about it, thinking about it, complaining about it or fretting about it, usually get precisely that unwanted thing.
