That's what we call an impasse—a conflict without an easy solution. 
πŸ‘‰ When we encounter internal conflicts,

 it can be helpful to identify the types of impasses we may face:

Type 1 Impasse: when two ego states have desires that are in direct opposition. For example, one part of our personality is wanting to pursue a career that requires a lot of travel and excitement. In contrast, another part desires stability and a settled family life. 

Type 2 Impasse: One ego state wants something that another believes is impossible, leading to frustration. This can be illustrated by a situation where one part of our personality intends to achieve a job promotion. Still, another part believes it's impossible due to a lack of necessary skills or qualifications. 

Type 3 Impasse occurs when multiple ego states have conflicting desires, creating a complex web of internal conflict. It might happen when one part of our personality wants to pursue a creative passion, another part desires financial stability, and another seeks approval and recognition from others.

But don't worry—there are ways to address and resolve these impasses. 

Let's explore some powerful strategies for discovering your inner harmony and achieving a sense of balance [ sthitapragnatha = Imperturbability ]
 
1. Embrace Internal Dialogue and Awareness: Engage in self-talk and introspection to gain a deeper understanding of your various personality aspects, needs, and fears.

 2. Seek Integration and Compromise: Explore common ground and find compromises that honour the diverse needs of all parts of your personality

 3. Try out Techniques like 'ego-state mapping' to identify and comprehend different aspects of your personality and 'role-playing' to act out and understand conflicting desires within your psyche

4. Write on Paper & Think on Paper

It's crucial to recognize and address your inner conflicts actively.
