Why Flute ???

  • A flute speaks only when we want it to speak and whenever it speaks,it sounds so sweet such that it stimulates only the feelings of love and blissfulness
  •  it always remains empty inside and produces sweet benevolent music when the right master plays it .
LORD KRISHNA

Meaning - Serenity/Happiness Follows when there is a harmony between the master (god) and the mastered(you) in an empty spiritualism !

If one can destroy their Kama ( lust) , Krodha ( anger), Lobha ( Greed) , Moha ( Desire and attachment) and. Matsarya and make total self-surrender, unreserved Atma-Nivedan to the Lord, then the god will play on this body-flute, nicely and bring out melodious tunes. The person's will will become merged in His Will. He will work unhampered through the person's instruments - body, mind and senses. he/she can just rest peacefully .he/she can watch the play of the universe as a Sakshi(observer) with divine bliss & peace. This way,Krishna advised people the way to become his flute
  • In Bhagavatism, the music of flute is considered as an entry way for a person's submission to the divine will - " The Absolute Submission ".
  • Conveys that there is a rhythm in this universe to which we all dance
  • Rumi, the great poet of Persia, says
" The pains and sorrows the soul experiences through life are the holes made in a reed flute, and it is by making these holes that the player makes out of a reed a flute. Which means, the heart of man is first a reed, and the suffering and pain it goes through make it a flute, which can then be used by God as the instrument to produce the music that he constantly wishes to produce. But every reed is not a flute, and so every heart is not His instrument. As the reeds need to be made into flutes, so the human heart can be turned into an instrument and can be offered to the God of love. It is the human heart which becomes the harp of the angels, it is the human heart which is the lute of Orpheus "
